"like a bullet to the head the pain came, and it shot me down like nothing had ever before."
Inspiration: After getting the DD I got asked multiple times 'What inspired you to do this piece?' and 'What do the bullet and pain represent?'. So I'll give a short description here.
Sometimes (like all of us) I go through a bad day at work, or through problematic periods with my gf, family or friends. At the end of the day, I have nothing but myself and emotions I gathered through whatever I've just passed through.
When this happens I tend to stare blankly and thoughts re-arrange themselves in my mind. It's where I get most of my inspiration. Emotions, which are there, and re-arrange themselves into words.
This was a particularly bad day which I would rather not discuss. I grabbed a piece of notebook paper, scribbled this on it, and stuck it in my jacket before going to sleep devastated. Weeks later I find this piece of paper, and with a clearer mind I tried to translate what those words meant into a piece of art.
This was two years ago. Now, I get a DD Thanks everyone for your favourites and comments... you encourage me and makes the work worthwhile!
PS: This DD goes to show that to have a good piece it doesn't need to be flashy. It can be simple, raw, even easy to replicate. Yet it must be from the heart, because when you believe in something, in what you're doing, it shows in your work.
Cheers everyone for your support, peace out.

I believe we can all relate to a time when we experienced pain so excruciating, we felt it drown us.
